Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is best known as the actress who played Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. Calvano born in California had a first interest in competing gymnastics. Then, she made the decision to pursue a career path in acting. She made her screen debut in the year 2010 with a segment of CBS series "NCIS". Her first big-screen appearance came one year later in the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. In the ensuing years she's been recognized among the most promising young actors within the field today. In 2011, she was awarded a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Actress on a TV Series, guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, Calvano was named a second time for the Young Artist Award. This was for her performance on Disney XD's 'Kickin It'. Calvano starred in Mom's first three seasons, and also made several guest appearances during the fourth. Calvano's performance as a rising star on Mom earned her the Gracie Allen Award, which is given to outstanding female actors.
